Small Deep Cycle Prototype
Prototype of the yet to be released, small, deep cycle. It will have about 18 ah, 500 amps peak, and will weigh about 6.9 kg. The power density looks awesome. The prototype has both SAE posts and marine type studs. The vent has a small fitting that allows attachment of a tube. Optima is planning to make them for GM. 

A good application of these might be as a "cache" string in parallel with a lower power density, but higher energy density "main" pack. (Your basic "stiffening" string.)  

A pack completely comprized of these units would give unreal performance to an EV. You would easily dust off most any ICE. These should do quite well in the car stereo market as well. 

Also in this picture is a 6 volt version. I'm not sure what the plans are for this model. I wouldn't hold my breath though.
